In 2005/2006 VdL pros, probably synonymous in other versions can be found at
Program Settings-> System - a time for adding to Save Auto Save projects. In support but is next to nothing written.
What are Auto Save projects?
How and where they are automatically saved?
For help I would be grateful!

Auto = Auto
save (English) = Save (German)
So save "auto".
Your working files of the specified times or intervals, you automatically saved in a backup file so that all your valuable time in the event of a computer crash has not been in vain. Sensible option.

Other Programs, such as Vegas are offering to crash and reboot, if you want to work next s.der old file. In other words, what I call the automatsiche backup again?

Have now rausgefunden itself as one of the PC after a crash can call the last backup:
1.Man goes into the directory where the file "Name." MVD is stored. Here are the backup files with the extension: _BAK1.
MV_ 2.The file with the MV_ must be renamed MVD.
Note:
The backup files are of "name" _BAK0.MV_ up
Name _BAK9.MV_ numbered. However, the numbers 0-9 are not the order of the time saving dar.
To zuermitteln the file that contains the last store, one must pay attention to the date and time.
You should make synonymous the preset 10 minutes to 5 minutes more or less.
