Frage von Anne Nerven:Hello Folks,
usually I create DVDs and have an ingrained File Flow:
Avid: Export as Quicktime Reference - TMPGenc: conversion to MPEG2 - Encore: Menu - Nero: DVD.
Now I have a clip also Internet-compatible, deliver usfür Youtube. This concerns me a bit of a headache, Youtube gives you only ONE chance - you can not help tetstweise upload and delete as needed afterwards. Very funny but nunmal so.
One of my uploaded clips of a customer and thereby of 16:9 squashed to 4:3. Disaster! To avoid this, I read the erstmal Youtube help, which, however, says only those who receive upload 16:9, 16:9 synonymous. That's not true so obvious, because the clip was squashed a MPEG2 file in 16:9. My guess is that it could be s.der pixel ratio.
So I set up a Youtube account and uploaded one Testclip of 4 sec. This was a Quicktime file (H264) with a Resolutionvon 1024x576. Picture and sound great. BUT: the big Hochöaden this 1.7 MB clip lasted about 90 min! When I said the clip with 6:50 min / sec as a Quicktime file (H264) with 884MB would upload, I came to theory at 32 days duration. That's too long for me :-)
Since I am not the Format-/Codec-König, I would like to know what format and codec you prefer and whether you get to see movies 16:9 synonymous with 720x576 in 16:9 too. Another test upload would take again 1 hour and I do not even know if I'm further forward earnings. That is why I am asking here, and would be grateful for helpful answers.
Greeting
Dirk

For video clips web platforms, you should always in the pixel aspect ratio of 1:1 to produce as H.264 in MP4/MOV-Container. So you're lying for 16:9 material with 1024x576 so rude properly if you have not yet produced any HD format. The sound should be in the AAC format (usually happens automatically) for stereo sound. Pay when you export to a moderate bit rate (up 5Mbit / s), which produces s.Datenvolumen about 40Mbytes per minute. With a DSL Internet connection with 384kbit / s upstream then the upload should take about 15 times longer than the playing time of the film, at 1Mbit / s upstream, only 6 times longer, etc.
Caution: If YouTube is only 10 minutes long films possible.

With your claim '90min for 1.7MByte 'is odd. The upload rate erstmal is only a matter of your Internet connection and the utilization of the YouTube servers. For normal ADSL connections 1.7MByte should be realistic in a minute away.

In a 16Mbit / s DSL connection are you up to 1Mbit / s upstream. In practice, usually less. Welcome to the world of marketing.

The executioner knows what the YouTube servers because even after the actual upload of you wants. In ner 16ner line you should wegkriegen principle within 20-30 seconds one 2MByte file.
