Hi All,
We would like to buy us for our Canon XL2 a video light.
Since I am a newbie in the case of light raised some questions.
The lamp is mainly used for interviews to illuminate the face, possibly synonymous when it is relatively dark.

is for professional Internet image films / TV commercials, film, suitable for this lamp?

I was on my mind some time ago, also with head lights and put the Panther Romy 75 to wishlist. By dimming the lights seems to be the head being the most robust.
The lamp is operated with a separate battery (12 volts). There are of course appropriate accessories for the Manufacturer, but since the Batteries are relatively expensive. A lead battery with soft padded waist bag (or backpack) and doing it well, depending on the capacity costs around 40 euros (nail me down on the price not only an estimate!).

can shoulder this be a connection there. For consumer devices, this is not the case.
The 4-pin XLR connector (here, a clutch) looks like this:

Have "erstmal" The Canon VL10/Li purchased.
To light:
Am satisfied with the luminosity. It is sufficient for our purposes, "erstmal.
What is very handy here that uses the lamp, the same as the XL2 Batteries itself
However, the disadvantage of a replacement lamp costs $ 35-40 slack, given in a lifetime of approximately 50 hours, an expensive joke.
We are likely to purchase long term, at the Panther Romy 75 Kilometers more synonymous to achieve better in light conditions.
So then shine on :-)

Could such have included a cable with a clutch that looks like the one that you have posted, so with a 4 pin XLR Anschlussaber. It is used here and has no battery, and the original batteries are very expensive.

I use a ZOOM Haehnel Light 35, with a lamp 6V 35W.
To a Panasonic Battery 6V 12Ah (about the cost of ¬ 40.00), which extends for about 1 1 / 2 hours. I carry the battery in a hip pocket, with the lamp connected with a cable that has soldered me by a friend.
The lamp is very good and can zoom slider means synonymous nor dissemble.
All together a low-priced accessories.
