Frage von Der Nick:Hi folks,
normally I film with a Canon 5D Mark II, just because I leave (like so many) on the beautiful depth of field :-)
Professionally, I would like to now borrow a reasonable video camera, which concerns what the depth of field of the 5D in no way inferior. However, I have the feeling that the cameras that are used in various television stations precisely this property do not have.
I would guess now that are technically relevant parameters for Tiefenunshärfe the chip size and the Apertureöffnung - but it can really be that used in television cameras in these parameters can not keep up with a DSRL? I can not imagine.
My question is why, in what parameters should I do if I want to borrow a camera that can record a shallow depth of field?
Thank you all and a great year
Nick

As you said ... "Chip-size and the Apertureöffnung ....
Thus, you will therefore only
Camera with 35mm adapter
or
Digital (Movies) film camera so something such as a RedOne etc.

You could synonymous with telephoto focal lengths (with standard video cameras) almost reach a Bokeh Effect, which works only conditionally, depending on the setup (distance to the object or space Depth)

... Chip size and the Apertureöffnung - but it can really be that used in television cameras in these parameters can not keep up with a DSRL? I can not imagine ... And yet it is so. For this, a DSLR with many other parameters can not compete with professional video cameras - perfect happens to be nothing on earth. Moreover, even a super small depth of field is anyway not always what you want. It is only a stylistic device of many and is being ridden often quite useful to free death. A proper cropping of people work on a background, for example, in interview situations synonymous camcorder with 2 / 3 "- or 1 / 2" sensors, if you can handle it.
... On which parameters should I do if I want to borrow a camera to record a low depth of field? ... The sticking point is usually less s.sich the camera as her best setting: http://forum.slashcam.de/viewtopic.php?p=461318 # 461318th Your ideal "reasonable possibility of video camera with low depth of field" would probably s.nächsten currently, the Panasonic AF101. Everything else is more expensive or cumbersome, or both.

Thanks guys for all your answers! That was very helpful!
I know that depth of field, many here now gets on my nerves. For said Project, it has substantive relevance but synonymous.
Can you think of other alternatives to the Panasonic RedOne AF101 or one?

Nee's face it ....
Ne EX1 plus NEN 35mm adapter and external recording ... NEN bissel to more light and you've got in my eyes with the best quality that goes right now!

But you left to a subordinate clause:
Professionally, I would like to borrow a video camera now reasonable And if it does not completely without experience, is effective to film a DSLR with (perhaps
because of her sassy misappropriation of course the love of the indie filmmaker election as such), so this applies to all adapter with Rig-drivel in particular. Time just borrow and deliver quality? When pigs fly.

I had read that it even provided with the loan, but I have a difficult time containing my good to find out what really but the 5D Mark II is already top.
Everything else is extremely expensive to rent and of course requires synonymous with respect to training.
But I am firmly convinced that an EX1 adapter with really top quality and delivered to the Digital Cine Cams still seems real with respect to the handling.
Otherwise, the only good proposal remains comfortable with the 5D Mark II to stay.
For a VariCam is synonymous here hardly be still of relevance.

Thus, if you ask the TO to why he did not want to shoot with the 5D Mark II.

People, thanks again for the answers
On a borrowed 35mm adapter I would do without if you go - there was already some experience with collecting, but I do not feel uneasy - and in the rotation has to go smooth.
So I ask the question at all: the customer wants to avoid the cost of the 5D - but wishes he had good connections to a television station and now a set of requirements so that he can ask me there.
Now I've got some good answers, thank s.euch s.der place for all the quick help!
