Hello Together,
I bought me a used EX1 and wanted to update the firmware. Have the VersionUpTool 1.20 (win) downloaded, unpacked and the exe. Application running.
The camera is connected with the USB cable (not original cable - may lie's that?) Connection via USB, I have confirmed. On the display I see the USB symbol and "USB Connecting"
Windows (vista service pack 2) has a new hardware installed and auto detect the drivers.
As a first step, I have accepted the Licensbedinnungen. From here it is not next stop.
The UpTool shows me the following message in the tab "Confirm Connection":
The device to be upgraded is not connected to the pc. Please connect the device to the pc with s.USB Cable, and turn on the power supply. When the device is connested, it will proceedto the next step automatically. The ON / OFF switch is on camera. Do I turn there anything else? What does
"and turn on the power supply"? What am I doing wrong?

What am I doing wrong? ... The message means that you should make sure that you turned on the camera and you were supplied with electricity.
Please go to ask the on / off switch on the Media heading. then the camera should register according s.PC ...

That's what I tried synonymous, does not help ... The power supply comes from the Stechdose and not on the Battery.
