before I would start with the digitizing right, I would like to let my Hi8 camera again in order to clean the recording heads.
Only when you would do something? (; Media Markt / Saturn).
Yellow Pages shows synonymous not really a specialty shop.

Your camera is digital, either you have MASSIVE problems (drop outs), or the maximum possible image quality. If the device is functioning normally, cleaning, thus leading to an increase in any case, the image quality.

About one thing you must ask to be clear: by digitizing your footage is not better, sharper, more beautiful or whatever, the starting material is HI8, the quality will not change.

Just take a cleaning cartridge short if you have a total loss of picture, comes with Hi8 often times before by particles which are on the minds, Noise is quite normal, only when serious noise bars such a search can be seen, only then should you use a cleaning cartridge .

easily if the picture is distorted by horizontal noise bars, just look in the manual of the camera, as even sample photos are inside. There are so many decks running at production companies that do not clean all the precautionary measure only if it really has, or other artifacts.

zum Bild Hier mal ein Durchschnittsbild. Ganz selten sind größere Ausfälle. Aber das tape ist schon of 2002. Was sagt ihr?

(Pixel fault ...) Pixels have errors with the video head yes to do nothing, but with the receiving chip.

Except for the blue line below it is fully in order.
Now, make up but not finished. Yet in none of my old VHS video recorder within the last 20 years ever had a head cleaning was necessary. Either the system works or so disturbed that you immediately recognize it and both the analog as synonymous with digital :-)
