I am one of those who have TV and Co. have not switched to HD. I'll eventually probably even buy something like the GH2 - when what is equivalent of Nikon (I have to change providers for many home ...). Lenses
If I want to do until then fairly decent shots in SD, there for it, nor even your camcorder? So camcorder, which can engage one manual and, most important, where you can plug in an external Micro?
Does anyone have ne recommendations? For here in the forum's all running on HD and while searching on Google to reach a conclusion ...

A mirror-less system camera at a higher level is expected to introduce Nikon already in March / April. Although it is logical to have a new mount, so you'd need for your existing lenses as well as an adapter s.einer GH2, but Nikon I trust that there will be an adapter with electronics. Then would work as synonymous with the aperture control the G-Nkkoren or auto focus, so you still would have an advantage over a GH2.
But to answer your real question: There are still some very good SD camcorder, for example, of Sony, Canon or Panasonic, but since it depends on in what price range you are looking for.
