Frage von Slatius:I intend my Panasonic HDC-SD707 zuzulegen Cam. Since recording to map only possible here is my question:
When recording in 1080/50p new mode is data rate of max. 28 MB / sec required. Which SDHC card creates this? Class 6, or must it be a more expensive option class with 10?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Antwort von RickyMartini:
There are only 28MegaBit / s and not megabytes per second - which accounts for a substantial difference! ;)
8 bits = 1 byte
28 Mbit / s = 3.5 MB / s
A Sandisk UltraII Class4 reaches out even as loose, as not all cards Class6 synonymous create the specified level on the map! Thus, such a Sandisk Class4 even faster than a Transcend Class6.

The classes are for the minimum guaranteed rate in megabytes per second. If individual Manufacturer create even more than indicated, is not a problem. Among them are, they should not, but you never know.
Furthermore, there is the problem, recognize that older Canon camcorder, the new Class-10 card and do not consider to be Class 2nd Embarrassing.
Class 2: 2 MB / sec = 16.8 Mbit / sec
Class 4: 4 MB / sec = 33.6 Mbit / sec
Class 6: 6 MB / sec = 50.3 Mbit / sec
Class 10: 10 MB / sec = 67.1 Mbit / sec
Antwort von Slatius:
I am grateful for the wise little things in Mbit and Mbyte. :)
Thus, one can with a good SDHC card in Class 4 make probably nothing wrong.

If anyone is interested:
My Transcend 16 GB Class 6 is according to our own measurements (with a good USB card reader) to a write speed of 5.1 MB / sec and a read speed of 16 MByte / sec.
My SanDisk 4GB Class 2 provides for writing 2.7 MB / sec read and 8.7 MByte / sec.
The indication of RickyMartini that Transcend Class 6 is not quite reach the promised level, is therefore incorrect. One wonders already, to which the classes are good at all.
