Hi!
I'm new in the video scene, I now have a Canon HF100 gegönnt; a PC is a powerful Quad (Q6600) at 3GHz per core and running with a Radeon 3870 512MB and 4GB of RAM is available.
Which DV editing / editing software should I take now?
Pinnacle?
Adobe Premiere?
What else?
From Adobe, I wg. my hobbies already DSLR Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom ... vllt speaks in turn for Adobe?

The NLEs are differ not only in presentation, but synonymous, what you can do with them and how they work.
As far as I know quite a lot of Adobe eats system resources, stores, but some effects on the Graphic card, which in turn requires that the card is compatible to the software should be. The same probably gillt for Pinnacle.
Sony Vegas is all about the CPU, therefore the GraKa not required. As with Ulead and Magix looks like I can not say since I've never tried.

Adobe is very user friendly, if a program you know you can with all the (AE PS etc) work. Technically, the system could, however, Premiere to run faster. However, I work with full HD material and Pr CS3 + the MainConcept plug-in for di SonyPMW EX1 and must say it funtzt. Canopus Edius 4.6 is for me a little strange but in comparison to adobe offer much more performance. If Mac is to be very popular Final Cut

premiere is very easy to use, possibly a good entry, then you the technique of creative work in the away. ists unfortunately not very stable, with large projects> 10 to 20 hours of material takes forever to open and save and it runs unstable, crashes every 5-10 hours s.and can be almost useless. synonymous of the work flow is not very fast.
avid medicomposer is the chef, harder to learn, but it saves about 30% of the average time, falls only once every few months time, can handle projects of any size.

Unfortunately, the premiere for AVCHD editing your material HF100er a bad choice because the material is absolutely not supported, and with no tricks or without expensive plugins in Premiere CS3 is not editable. You would then have to choose between the Cineform products (999 U.S. $), or the MainConcept plugin (certainly a few hundred euros, price because I know not).
In the PC field of entrants Studio Tools gibts Pinnacel (native interface) and Canopus Neo (AVCHD on intermediates), in the field of gehobeneren Tools SonyVeags Pro 8 (native interface) or Canopus Edius (Intermediates). The rest is rather ... naja.

"Concern" is delicately worded - you have an AVCHD camera, and for the AVCHD format is simply no support in CS3. There are other attributes to me rather than "worrying" one.

Those plugins are pigs expensive - Cineform U.S. $ 999, I had already written up, and MainConcept I do not know - have to go looking for even times, certainly synonymous but a few hundred euros.
