I just wanted to say.
Stage matters: great. Events covers with perhaps even hand-held camera and spontaneous reactions: rather not suitable.
I've already seen very nice things of the D7 and D7000, but this takes time and you have to know to deal with Aperture / Time / lenses to achieve such results.
For the question "What cam to 2000 ¬ with the best possible picture quality?" I read out that the questioner is making no ideas on how much can be a cumbersome DSLR in Comparison to a camcorder in the handling (sound, sharpness, limited recording time, etc.)
