in a few weeks back to start a project of mine. A DVD about a hall Cycling Championship. We want (like Eurosport a few years ago it has done) with two cameras, respectively. two perspectives work.
An overall position and a close s.Sportler tuned in near the court.
The halls, or rather the actual playing is top lit. And we want our pictures with a very good image quality. Indoor cycling consists of CYCLE-BALL (a fast and dynamic sport) and Kunstrad (slowly and gracefully).
Since these DVDs synonymous later sold, in principle, I would have to work with professional equipment and the buyer / professional image viewer material. But about 3000 EUR for a Sony camera, I am much too much. Is it in lower price ranges because nothing similar, at about consistent quality?
Or what do I need to make concessions if I camcorders with the EUR 800 work?
What camcorder would you recommend? Price category between 1300 and 2000, per camera ...

how and why there's a difference, and how great is that it finally? DigiBeta: DCT data reduction 2:1
MiniDV: DCT data reduction 5:1
DigiBeta: 4:2:2 ribbon
MiniDV: 4:2:0 ribbon
And then there are minor differences in the size / quality of the optics / image converter chips that can handle the size contrast, etc.
In other words, MiniDV is OK for the money and sensationally good - but not studio quality.

What is not expected (for such an expensive semi Camera) Canon XL 1, 2 big problems: AF with less light - it was just s.Pumpen and inevitably we must always exhibit the AF, and brightly dressed people are the XL 1 very often completely overwhelms / overexposed again.
And to the amazement, the GS 500 amateur crate so little / no problems, yes well the Farbsettup was at the Canon XL 1 normal force (or so vote - which looked nice) GS 500 remains a rather neutral in color. But if you look at the intersection after the movie comes in two models, no huge difference - the price of one might expect.
Yes I am the first-class processing, the manual functions and the good connections to the XL 1 aware, the GS 500 is not synonymous in the sky to praise in less light, the VX 2100 is a lot better, but for what we now receive ¬ 1000 with current technology is quite amazing.
My film work colleague for some time been synonymous with the GS 500 (at the moment because money is no longer available) and not with the Profihafteren XL 1 because it permanently employed all manually go through menus to create a pleasing picture to get - Automatic is impossible , and strangely, the film is not synonymous with much better manual control synonymous if the filmmakers a few years experience XL 1.

Well, folks - I'm now on the SonyVX2100 "transition", respectively. I decided for this cam. Currently, I am still s.Einlernen and hope that I have until the end of November with the sound images can be achieved Cam!
Unfortunately there is for this area no reasonable literature. The VX2100/PDA170-Book is for me very interesting as Beginners, but after working through the first and the first understanding of the performance scale of the Cam, I am missing just more practical tips, tricks and gimmicks in order with the cam to work more efficiently.
I'm going to get this part now by "self study" and many attempts have even appropriated. The Cam likes me but until now very good - delivery traumhaft beautiful pictures (in my opinion TV-compatible material). Just after that I wanted.

Yes I had yesterday really hog (at 12 h of shooting) I was allowed to use the PD 170, einfach nur geil the Camera. Since XM is 2 or GS 500 really only toys.
It is purely fuchs into the manual features, I'm not synonymous Sony filmmakers. Ich glaub da help books are not always synonymous next. You just have to operate manual and test with Aperture, Shutter, White Balance Gain or what happens in situations - for technical understanding and a little talent is what we should do.
It's finally time a camera where the Viewfinder what does, I'm always shy and LCD viewfinder friend. In Lowlight especially with red / blue mixed light can be seen in SW Viewfinder more than s.LCD, now you can understand why pros on their sharp SW Viewfinder exist.
I can only say Camera class - if the price were not so high ....
