Hi All,
Beginners as absolute in terms of DV editing on my computer I test grade Premiere (after I've worked so s.der University) and Edius, I think I would prefer Edius runs much smoothly.
But now my problem (codec problem?)
In Premiere, I can only with Microsoft DV avi reasonable (to work no problem) when capturing, but not import existing videos
(mpeg1 \ VCD format works, but Premiere is running choppy and created) large conformed audio files, avi files others, such as DivX or others will not at all.
mpeg2 does not synonymous, but that can not synonymous Premiere yes.
Edius is yes, but handle all the format, BUT:
mpeg1 works great (for example, recordings of my TV card with WinDVR to VCD format)
DV avi works
For all other import avis I get the error message "unsupported format", even when in the bin, even though they run with all the players on my PC
mpeg2 (which is to process Edius yes) works great in the Picture, but the sound has always misfire, so he sounds completely unbundled.
Sorry for the long novel, but I've already tried everything that comes into my head and am gradually truly desperate if one of you has even a hint I would be really grateful ....

The only thing you did not tell you is what you actually do want to ;-)
If I had your problem, I would cut convert any source video to DV AVI, DV AVI to as AP or Edius and then encode the edited video into the target format (eg MPEG2 for DVD).
To convert, I would first take VirtualDub MPEG2 Of Fcchandler.

Problems with various compressed avis, I can understand, yes,

Winamp plays my recordings of the TV card to mpeg2 clean,
Edius: mpeg1 (VCD) with perfect sound,

s.Calculator too slow
b) not compliant MPEG stream
In satellite recording, I get the suspicion that you have a transport stream. there is still plenty of fiber in it, Sender ID, time, and possibly more sound tracks, etc. With time PVAStrumento, Google first hit, sometimes demux.
Another disadvantage with Edius and MPEG editing: Is pretty quick, no question, however, Edius encode everything new! For pure cut gibts freeware tools or Ulead Media Studio 7 (MSP7). MSP7 not re-encoded. Especially with the low bit rate satellite, I would take ehr MSP7 than Edius.

If you do not want back in the DVB stream has to be re-encoded anyway.

I now have the old clip (with sound) + a new (and heal, Yay) Soundtrack
im. mpa format.
Do I have to join in Edius? Or I can set the right way
The old sound is simply replaced in the file?

not back to the SAT TS, the demux's already DVD compliant and ready for authoring, I mean.

You have a choice in Edius, endweder on a VA track, Picture + Sound,
or Picture in a V Track and Sound (mpa) into an A track.
Just take the mpa, please.

I know on the timeline it's synonymous no problem putting together a new picture and soundtrack, as a group, but in the timeline so I can only either with the clip with the defective OR soundtrack with the correct soundtrack (. Mpa) work without a picture, or?

Now you can cut through all the tracks in Edius CTRL D, but clearly, if you set in PVAStrumento program stream is zusammengemuxt Picture + Sound. Only the ballast stop missing. Only the AC3 sound is still divided when the program with both mpa and AC3 was broadcast.

Pretty complicated!
If my shots with PVAStrumento demuxer, I can take the old video file in Edius unlink the soundtrack of "" and use the new soundtrack.
That is time enough for the class & distress
Unfortunately, I can video and audio then only grouping and not "left",
so unfortunately I must work on the timeline and the average window can not use with sound.
Create Program Stream synonymous work, can easily be imported into the bin, Edius plays him about 3-7 sec. correctly in the Timeline s.and then locks up. Class.
So far, it looks like this:
Either add in DVD format of the TV card and archive, then either cut to
s.demuxen separate soundtrack and use (fast, very good image quality, cut but not comfortable)
b) with Procoder Express as MS Avi convert (fairly good quality, comfortable cut, if you like synonymous with premiere, but time-consuming and space hungry)
or directly as MS DV avi record (Space unacceptable)
or as a VCD (super record of space required, no coding necessary to cut very comfortable, but the picture quality is poor)
There is not a better way?
