Hey Guys,
I have been looking for in a different thread for a iMac but am now come to a decision to buy a laptop as a place to want to cut, because of his mobility.
I have already used search function but unfortunately found a thread of 2006.
Which laptop would you recommend me at present and what should I have to watch.
Permanent Record? Graphics card? Card slot? External hard drive?
Here are the requirements:
I turn at noon with the EOS 550d/h.264 mov. and this material is then drawn on the laptop and immediately processed with CS5 + Grading ... so that one evening you can visualize a finished video.
Important here is
-Import speeds
The reliable work-
Render times
It is simply not last as long, but hardly was time for the film (4 min clips 2std.Rohmaterial on distance) has yet to be shown at the event.

My tip: Macbook Pro 15 "with external plate. An internal SSD increases the fun.

Panasonic Toughbook of NEM with Dual Core 2.2 and new disk clean and more Ram is purely good otherwise as Powermac said.

The thing is even certified Avid has, ne QuadroFX map based on the 330s and would this CPU with a Mac version costs well over 2100th Above all, it is NOT Apple :-)

At 2 hours of raw material a DSLR will get a little notebook no serious performance issues! ;)
Let me PPro CS5 with two cores running my Q9550 @ 3.6 Ghz with DSLR-Material, the CPU load increases merely by playing at quite considerably!
Without potent QuadCore CPU I would not start the native DSLR-cut on a notebook with PPro better - there would be with the Edius HQ codec, a far better choice. That is enough then synonymous a nifty dual-core notebook.
