The WMM 2.1 is free.

Please help me! Well, the latest version Movie Maker was supposed to be in the situation.
Otherwise you'll get either an editing software that can create DVDs (which are actually all standard, for which one can spend money ;-), for example,
this. Or you buy an external encoder like CCE light, Procoder Express or TMPencPlus (google or forum search will help !;-). Encoder with that you can convert the dv-avi to MPEG2.

With an
MPEG encoder you walk to the video data into an MPEG video. For a video DVD, it should be a conversion to MPEG2 video data.
The MPEG2 video data then you are walking with a
DVD authoring program into a suitable video-DVD video format (VOB, IFO, BUP) files.
The DVD-Video data fit for you then burn with a
DVD burning program fit for the video DVD disc format.
These are the individual steps that can be combined in a universal "DVD program.

Stefan better than one would not be able to describe. Beautiful and well what you are everything you wrote, but I do not know yet is time mepg. it needs to go much simpler.
for example, after you have finished the video, you can still save movie file .... but then somehow on a dvd.
've synonymous no money for other programs and free from the net never work properly for me. even had to restore my pc now ...

Sorry, are you crying, I believe, wrong for the people.
You can swear on the video industry, or to Bill that they either offer no simple enough for you-use Programs or to want to have too much money.
I (we) can help you to understand the relationships and give tips on various issues with very specific programs.
But I am not going to carve your desired program or make myself the trouble of writing a instructions, if you with "free from the net never work properly in my" beginners.

about this program you should also download the gui the avis of the encoding to mpeg-2 videos easier it is called gui4ffmpeg
Both progs should be enpackt into the same directory like ffmpeg!
