With crossfading (, so the smooth transition of a setting to another) has nothing to do but it is a simple shift in focus. If you look at the manual focus can be laid down, it's good times - now you have it just create the sharp mapped area (the "depth") will be minimized.
And that is with small camcorders, unfortunately, for physical reasons a problem. What helps is a wide open aperture, a long telephoto focal length and a large distance between foreground and background.
A better option, although expensive and not suitable for beginners, would be a so-called 35mm. If you like this term says nothing, then just googled - there is tons of info on the Internet as synonymous in this forum.

Hat was with the sensor size, the used CCDs to be done.

Ne is rather complex issue, with the various optical factors play a role ... Search would be as sharp Absolute, Relative sharpness, maximum allowable dispersion circle ...

Hello!
many thanks for your concrete statement ...!!!
what I did this as a camcorder would be a weitwinkel intent .....
with focal length of the tele do you mean I have to object to the quite reasonable ranzoomen then crossfading to be?
