hello people,
I am beginner in sachen postproduction. I have the task to make a trailer for a movie about. And this are my premiere cs4 after effects cs4 for disposal. Now I have depended much a week and am slowly s.der Case s.aufgeben. The workflow is anything but motivating. I do not know, is obs s.meiner approach or technique s.der - probably s.mir because my computer is a intel i7 920 with 12GB Ram.
I have so begun.
1. The film of the dvd copied to the plate and demuxed ->. m2v +. mp2
2. Both files imported to premiere
3. The film double-clicked to load it into the monitor to quell.
here is the very first problem. If I have a clipping and take in the sequence timeline in my draw, I have only the picture, but not the soundtrack. I double-click the soundtrack footage in my window, it will be loaded in the swelling-monitor and I have a problem, just get the tone but no video in the timeline too. what am I doing wrong?
4. Alternative Procedure: I prefer the whole film and the entire audio track in my sequence and cut out there, which I do not need.
5. the parts that interest me, I then cut out and paste it into a new sequence.
6. I want to have a picture like s.of turn left outside the building. I import it to premiere project in after effects
7. the import schonmal lasts forever. And after every action the computer takes longer than 1 minute and almost 2, in order to be receptive again.
8. if I have a sequence via copy and paste of premiere after s.hole that lasts forever synonymous. to me it seems as if copied the entire film but only the excerpt shown in the composition.
I am now truly abgenervt because I simply do not come forward and do not know how I need to proceed properly. ran I go wrong? I have perhaps even the whole movie and the audio track into an advance. mov container packing? I can handle the audio track separately but net more!? can you help me please? I truly despair just before ...

What kind of a stupid format you have your DVD player's "muxed"??
As you work, I would have long since given up!

Did I understand correctly that you have (2 data, a video file; m2v)
and an audio file?
If it should be so pull it into a sequence of picture and sound adjust again.
And then you put the sequence in the source monitor, you should have video audio such as synonymous.
As for the aperture case, since you do not have real AE. Either you set keyframes or in the blinds, there is a "Sliding" or "shoving away" at least. in CS3, is nich so much different from what you have to be there.

Yes, you understood correctly. If you
demuxed, now time to get separate tracks. And if we get data of a disc (;. VOB - container so) it must be time now only to extract / demux - Premiere fact refused to import. VOBs with the reference to an unreadable format. ProjectX, the tool of my choice for offering no option to the tracks while packing the same in one. Mov container. I was synonymous not sure if I need to do so.
How is it with respect to the problem of long reaction time of AE? Can this approach s.meiner lie or is this normal? I'm in places dependent on AE. For example, because I do not succeed, for example, when test-flying a title the same motion blur to grow on it, as in AE. Habs tried with the time lag effect, as described in the Premiere help, but it looked ineffective. Therefore, I have the built in AU rausgerendert and and imported into Premiere and drübergelegt. It may be awkward, but I know it not better imo.

Since it obviously stuck with Adobe, I advise you s.einmal "Edius 5.1 Trial to try out. This can be synonymous clips on video DVDs easily capture and has a terrific real-time performance - however, can not anstinken Premiere! ;)

saving you all the desperate pull-ups.
You have to demux nothing. Drag the VOB into the timeline and start see at work. You can directly cut into the timeline. Always there to be cut when press Ctrl + K, which mark unneeded Sequence and then press SHIFT + DELETE. The unused parts are then autom. removed. So you do not need "the parts that interest you, cut and paste into a new sequence.
Mach's not complicated as it is.

Now on DVD:
I think your main problem is the good old MPG2 format. this makes the years since the premiere with teamwork problems. I would recommend that you transcode the whole dvd to avi to. You can find software for it to be sufficient.
to the ton: it could be that some ton of comic DTS or dolby is schwachsinn? because then it does not surprise me that there is no sparks.
