Hi,
I use my PC recently synonymous for HDV editing in Premiere Pro CS3 and for HD editing in After Effects (previously only SD). Now all this takes me a little too long when my deadline is getting closer.
Now my questions:
1. Should I use my PC (AMD Athlon X2 6000 +, 2GB 800MHz RAM), a larger memory or a faster processor to miss?
2. Use Windows XP 32 bit, is worthwhile because even 4GB of RAM? Or will only recognize 2GB?
3. Would not a video card is the best alternative?
4. If the processor, then what? Motherboard has been upgraded, will remain in the AM2 socket, the Phenom at all useful? Faster than the Dual Core 6000 + AMD gibts of not, right?
Will soon be, if any, for the cut on Avid Media Composer .... change the hardware requirements are similar?

AMD I do not know and I will not.
I have 4GB. But Can synonymous 3GB (2x1 + 2x0.5 the same bolt of the same manufacturer because of Dual Channel).
Video card does not work.

Hoi,
So I would clearly say pobiers dear with the memory. The upgrade is faster and costs the net world. If there is nothing you can still upgrade the processor to (and gegf. The motherboard).
If you try out a new processor reinhaust eg NEN Quad or what knows, it could be that you ne repair install of your operating system must make. Ie expense and risk. : - /
I want my invoices synonymous for AVHCD average value and currently have dual 2 Duo with 2 * 2.4 Ghz ... and 2 GB of RAM. Far too weak for real time rendering. I must now always downsizen. I need to replace the mainboard and then just NEN Quadprozessor and more memory. What in any case with ne repair installation brings. But if mans before you can know everything nice and secure the best hope.

A 32bit system generally recognizes no more than about 3.5 GB of RAM, it depends of the other PC components. Therefore there would be synonymous 3GB range. After Effects anyway recognizes only 2 GB. Unfortunately.
While it is the switch, then stürtzte my PC at startup, but always with a blue screen from. Toll.
When a new processor you have to look of course, what with your mainboard, etc. clearly comes. But that would speed things certainly help.
I have the synonymous shcon wondered .....

I would upgrade. We will soon have a Mac Pro with 16 GB of purchase. I am looking forward to it. With 2 GB as currently makes little fun.

After Effects does not recognize or manages RAM, which is for the operating system. 32 bit Windows can manage 4GByte Ram notify an application max. 2 GByte of memory. Yet to make sense 4GByte RAM with WIN32. Windows itself needs a lot, others started Programs (eg Premiere) also.

type in msconfig then Enter!

Windows 32 bit can only address 3 GB! I would but the latch on 4 GB of investing .. Eighth in the same clocking the latch!
If you have a AM2 board have (hopefully Asus or so ...)
Then try it times out with the Quad-Core AMD of ...
Whether your software is suitable for quad, had the manufacturer of the SF ask .. And what if it brings synonymous!
