Hi!
I'm (still) on the search for the right camera for me, the Ex1 was indeed my favorite, but is a bit too expensive, so I am now limited to the XHA1 or FX1000 ".
Important to me would be that man with the camera hinbekommt a film look, a little "künstlischer" with DOF / blur can work and colors. I edit my videos before but never after, that is only important that the camera good "Augangsmaterial" and provides not the perfect finished look.
Important to me would be also a good low light behavior because I want to do often in low light conditions or atmospheric movies evening / night shots.
Is from that point would have the FX1000 a bit so the nose in front, but I had the impression that the XHA1 makes sharper pictures with brighter colors, but I have only to compare Youtube Videos.

In a direct Comparison for XH-A1, I would consider synonymous with the HDR-AX2000 consider ... she's almost a successor model of the FX1000 - just in AVCHD .... and with XLR and without tape.
The extent to which the two differ, however, now I really do not know. The XH-A1 you say yes to a good sharpness - probably due to the CCD 's use of the HDV raster full.

If you look and good film Lowlightverhalten is important, then take it ne DSLR. For music videos is the lack of audio inputs not pregnant. So have only draw good sharpness and possibly keep the rolling shutter and the moiré in check. HDV, I would not do, since the interframe compression pretty much Match and little blocks come to light. For standard-def. Master it is reasonably ok. Film look is achieved with about 1 / 3 inch sensor is difficult and with 35mm adapter, you lose a couple of panels of light.
