Since my XL1 and the XL1S always synonymous again - but not always - for minutes nix writes on tape or thick strips from the old and new Picture s.tape - and Canon service in Austria is not able to seriously the problem to fix (after synonymous head drum not swap) the following rationale:
Whistle on the tapes, Buy 2 cheap notebooks and take it directly to AVI on.
Question: how do I keep the camera off after 3 minutes without a tape to use?

The answer lies in your question: No tape loaded, then the camera switches synonymous not. If that alone is not enough: Battery power cord to use instead. In this combination (either tape or battery in the camera) does it with the XL-1 in any case.

Unfortunately, I MUST use the battery (it is already open in the Camera and the DV cable and the notebook by gegend to grind - but regiemässig is certainly fine).

Lol, you know, this is not s.der XL1 but because you seem to your tapes again and again used. You regularly purchase new, about not playing s.besten and Archive. B + nder re record is not good. 2 times recorded grade is still synonymous but is not recommended.

no no. I use the tapes only 1x, i used a different vendor band, I brought the cameras (plural!) on teletext (canon Service Austria) and then exactly the same wars.
for DR-DV 5000 - I think that would be much more expensive 3 as cameras than three notebooks cheap to buy. I would also like notebooks screens used as directed.

the heads have 400 euro to be exchanged, and a month later on "grace" again swapped out again because they were. canon of'm not thrilled decapitate, have already, with 3 cameras.

Interesting is that the DIR at 3! Cameras happened. I have in my previous film career with bit 100 different camera types filmed, of VHS-C to IMX, and had such a problem never before. The probability that you at 3! Camcorders happened is probably as high as that 3x in a row wins the lottery. Therefore, workflow s.deinem your camera or something is not quite handle the rule. a contribution to a variety of fits to the thread!
So I've now a band without XL1 notebook s.ein successfully clamped and observed that they obediently continue - at least until the battery is empty - and is interesting as no preference how accurate, ie of the camera or from the notebook - if only one of them is empty is the whole stand ....

Possible Capture Tools WinDV would, CaptureFlux, ScenalyzerLive ... whether all this can be what you are looking for, I do not. Try it!
