I was filming a school project in our school the opportunity with a marvelous XL1 with 16x zoom lens with. It is so fun and the camera is really great!! But it may be that the camera is not so bright? I'd have expected in the "dark" areas more. So there is no pitch-black room, but simply a room with large windows, but there in the shade. Both in manual mode as synonymous in the automatic mode seemed hinzubekommen I was there not a good picture. Only when I have the gain turned up full manual, the picture was somewhat brighter, but still did not meet my expectations ... Is this normal, would that matter, as has already been written, really expected more!

Salut Constantin. 1. No, the camera is not known for excessive light intensity. If anyone yet, then wrongly (eg scale VX2000/2100). 2. But the camera makes beautiful "dark" images. The viewfinder can be too fast fiddling on gain, usually they exaggerate `s. No Camera for a night. A little one needs to know them so that they thaw.

The ND filter was made synonymous. The images, which makes the camera are undoubtedly great, even in 2x zoom it has surprisingly little depth and the camera is synonymous calm in the hand (and s.der shoulder) than I would have expected.
If I get time to capture the Picture s.TV or s.PC, I'll see the Results ... You can even make the viewfinder image, I believe synonymous brighter, right? Vielleich which is set just extremely dark. Because I did not feel the XL1 as bright as my Panasonic NV-MX300!

XLR inputs, there is only sold separately with shoulder support. Phantom power provide mW is not.

Hi!
If you use the old Canon XL1E, you've only got about 120 ISO. The XL1S can shoot better in the dark. Supposedly 400 ISO.

And the additional shoulder rest synonymous offers the possibility of attachment of radio links or Akkupacs, very practical in my opinion!
