Frage von Giggs:Hi,
mal ne Frage. Is it possible to remove from a Xvid Avi File subtitled?
Thank you.
Antwort von Gast:
No.. The text is an integral part of the picture. That would be as if you cut something out of a Stillimage.

The switching of subtitles is always with the help of VobSub or ffdshow and just playing on the PC, but that has nothing to do with the codecs.
If you can with the DivX Codec Version 6.x requires additional mux switchable subtitles, but are synonymous only when playing on the PC and not visible when playing on the stand.
In addition XviD goes so far mux definitely not.
Little excursion into the logic: friend Giggs says he wants to remove subtitles from a Xvid AVI file. After a muxing with XviD is not possible, the subtitle of which he writes down only "branded" to be (rendered). The text has therefore there where he is replacing the original picture, which in turn makes a removal in the sense of disconnection impossible.
VirtualDub has a filter for removal of TV logos. The new channel will replace the logo with copies of pixels that lie next to the respective logo. Thus we can replace ggf synonymous subtitles, but this seems due to the amount of characters not exactly good.
If you want to know more about the subject ask quietly.
