Hello, I have a question.
Can I plug in the Canon MV 800 s.den computer? And if so, the cable always there? The Canon MV800 has DV-out port (= FireWire) i.Link, IEEE1394. You can download the films are transferred from the camcorder to the PC. From the PC is to use your DV camcorder, but not because he has no DV-IN functionality.
The FireWire cable is not normally included with the camcorder, but it is often for FireWire cards here, which you buy in computer stores. Ensure that the cable FireWire has the correct time. On the camcorder-page, it is usually a 4-pin mini plug on Page of the PC usually a 6-pin Male, which is somewhat larger. Synonymous, but laptops can have a four-pin connector. So you need to check whether you need a 4 / 4 or 4 / 6 (four to six) cable.
The two additional poles are only meant for a possible external power supply, FireWire cards are often available with 4 to 6 cables, because they fit then s.Camcorders and PC.
If your calculator has been a Firewire port, then you only need the cable that is to have a single-digit euro sum in the computer trade.

The cable I would not take the cheapest of the cheap:
"Often, cards are supplied with Firewire cable simplest quality. They are so bad in the fit of the 4-pin connector may that the camcorder / recorder is no (sufficient) Contact the Calculator gets. The result is that connected devices are often not recognized or the connection is so bad that capturing is not possible. It is always worth the purchase of a higher cable with good fit. "(taken from

That is basically correct. But I have mentioned with the "cheap" cables, so far no problems. You are here with a camcorder, and with an IEEE1394-compatible printer in use - were halt just a few of my local computer market and the Internet.
The descriptions of such Hannes (creased headers / contacts) synonymous, I know. In many cables, which are significantly more expensive, but it is only the brand name, and unfortunately, not the higher quality that would justify a higher price.
I wanted the OP really just say that with the MV800, a cheap FireWire card and a simple FireWire cable data transmission to the calculator should be really easy.
