Frage von andi90:Hello!
How does it actually comes to your camcorder even when it can cost under $ 500, have a 33-fold optical zoom?
(Samsung VP-DC 163 http://www.mediaonline.de/shop/ProductDisplay?storeId=5000&categoryPath=5000.13005&jspStoreDir=mediamarkt&productId=294056&langId=-3&catalogId=5000&ddkey=CategoryDisplay)
I still have never seen a digital camera, offered for this price as a powerful zoom. In general, I still have never seen more than 12x zoom for photographic lenses ...
Is it because that Resolutiondes sensor (0.8 MP) is much lower than that of digital cameras, and why is that?
And one more question, why only at 0.8 MP camcorder and digital cameras are already far above?
(Sorry, I know the difference between camcorder and digital camera yet so ...)

Hello Andi,
I take my views on this question:
... why are only at 0.8 MP camcorder and digital cameras have much more? A PAL video picture (standard definition) measures exactly 720 x 576 pixels. You multiply the two values, you come to about 0.4 megapixels. How many points does a sensor image converter, therefore, to create a full video image. No more and no less.
On the contrary: more sensor points to smaller and smaller spaces have a negative impact on the attainable image quality of a camcorder.
