Hello together
I wanted to edit an. Avi video in Vegas. If I do. Avi import, but I unfortunately get only one sound track and no video track. Den. Avi, I have taken with my Canon digital camera. Since I am completely new to the area of Videoschneidens I do not know how I spend that Vegas 6.0 synonymous imported the video track.

The video is compressed with one MJPEG codec. One such windows of the house has not s.Bord.
BUT VirtualDub has such s.Bord. With VirtualDub you can clip capture, view, clips stuck together and store them in a more familiar format. VirtualDub, there are at www.virtualdub.org
Alternatively, you can take synonymous procure a MJPEG codec installed and. The companies PICVideo and Morgan have some, but paid, with which one can encode very fast and good:

Vegas may seem to the MJPEG codec is not installed in the System or expects to use a different answer. You should check with the freeware GSpot, which are called codecs on your calculator, if this file should be played.

Den. Avi, open, save, and it works great. Well, almost great. The film can not be played with WMP and VLC the only bad, but in Vegas it runs quite decently. Maybe I can go in VirtualDub nor make any export settings ... there needs to familiarize myself a bit.

Yes, if you've only just opened and saved, you save an uncompressed video. This is s.riesengross and b) demanding for the hard disks (transfer rate 25 MB / s constant) is needed if it is to be played back smoothly. With plenty of space and cutting both in Vegas does not matter.
