Hello,
I would like to know what time or what imac mac pro it would take to process material as 7d/5d liquid. happy synonymous with conversion possible with no or very little quality loss (; possibly ProRes codec). I can anyone recommend a mac to edit the materials? ye can write simply synonymous with what system you cut the said material and how it goes with you.

Hi,
in the 5D you have not (yet) the problem is that it takes up only 30P. It will mean erstmal in 25P convert (eg, waiting with the Cinema Tools from the FCS), or a firmware update has made the Canon for early 2010 in view.
For the 7D you have this "problem" is not.
As far as I know, drawing on both HD cameras in h.264 to MOV containers that can deal with any reasonably current iMac.
It is thus not primarily the question of the Calculator, but according to the Camera and want to use tools.
But would that be synonymous with a bit of initiative very quickly using popular search engines and a little brainpower to figure out yourself ;-)

Leaving this point out of sight - and this can be - then there is no difference between the 7D and 5D in terms of post-processing. Convert must - and should - you probably own the h264 files. The best way for this: ProRes.

The films of both cameras (by the way quite a long time) is already synonymous smoothly played low of Macs, for example, on which, I am sitting s.dem (MB 2G C2D), but in the editing program is no longer so pliable, not synonymous with the fastest Macs . That is a case for ProRes, and then it is no longer a problem, not synonymous with weakness.

So those who wish to register their films for festivals, need 25 frames. At least I know someone who is so abkotzt. The conversion to go but in movement and panning one should remember it well.
