Since only an AVI container format, in which usVideodaten are able to turn both uncompressed as synonymous highly compressed DivX, a prediction of the expected quality loss is not possible. This move is between "no loss" to "clearly visible loss of quality" - just depending on the codec.
In the case of a DV codec is the loss of quality in a unique Zwischenrendern for most users / applications is negligible. Only when rendering multiple steps in re-use of the newly rendered AVI files are slowly artifacts visible.
With a small set of tests to find out quickly how powerful the use of your codec is. Make sure you s.welcher Render generation (s.Television or video monitor) initial losses can recognize.
