we want to purchase a camcorder, mainly to the junior film. we are beginners in the bloody film, with digital photography, however I know of and we are adequately supplied (Canon). It is not necessary functional foto.
but I do value good bildqualitität, fast autofocus and low-noise shots in low light conditions. because I am used to big shots for the parents would like to copy to DVD, but not necessarily edit, should play on the pc fairly easily possible.
price range is around 300, - euro.
After intensive research I have 2 cams envisaged:
Sony drc hc 24 or Canon mv 960
can someone tell me what cam for my purposes and claims is better?

Quite simply: no. You have high standards, which can be used in this low-price segment will not cover.
What do you mean why there are cameras, which cost several thousand EUR, if it were synonymous with 300?

Specifically what "bad light" is concerned: This is with 300 EUR not agree, believe's me!
Either you have to spend significantly more, or your claims CLEARLY back screws.
In this price class is like the Panasonic GS27, which makes a pretty good picture, but once it is dark, is the end.
But just because you write that you're still image experience and have good picture quality, then you'll get in this price class probably will not be happy.

There are no big differences in picture quality between the 3 big companies in the entrants. The functions & accessories already.

. aufnahmen poor lighting conditions - (Picture) small advantage Canon - AF (clearly Sony) s.Ende no preference whether HC 24 or MV 960 but almost non-existent lighting and without the black light is not to endure.
. pc transfer - both with Firewire - just as one - please do not come with USB, both have no high speed USB connection. The Canon's first s.MVX 45i and Sonyhat no lineup in 2006.

I will probably decide for a canon (mv 950 or 960). mainly because I have some NB-2LH batteries and when did sony what otherwise would have to buy. I had not thought that the same battery for digi cams and camcorders will be used and so far I do not care drum ... I am not sure if it really is the better camcorder, but it is of advantage, the same battery system and charger to have.
will report whether the claim satisfies my cam;)

Yes it's peak at Canon, the NL 2 L (LH) is some good in it Digcams synonymous zb the reflex Bestsellers 400 D, Powershot G 7 or zb S 80, not bad .....
Since Canon Videocams in the consumer market is not included Charger, can the existing NB 2 LTE's quite nice.

yes, the charger I have. was with the cameras there. synonymous some batteries. because I have only the problem that they quite quickly empty. This is synonymous charged again soon, but that will not really;)) are flat? 've no clue of Batteries ... so what comes from where - for too long to load?

The CB 2 LTE jumps as far as I remember of red and green switches in order to conserve charge, the batteries are probably just too old - good 2-3 years or they are very cheap replicas.
