Frage von Radish:Hello!
have an urgent problem to be solved. am in possession of a Sony HC17E camera with firewire connection. I now wanted to transfer movies to the pc. my motherboard: Abit NF7-S. firewire connection on board and therefore, according to equipment manager of win2000 installed (IEEE-1394-BusHostcontroller yet the firewire connection?).
if I now the firewire cables (s.pc and camera), he finds a new usb device, which then appears in the device manager with fragezeigen. I want to update the drivers, it is better than already installed .. However, the installation will be canceled due to the following announcement: "during the equipment installation was an error. The installation failed because specified for this device instance does not function driver"
what does that mean? my firewire drivers installed correctly? why he finds a new USB device when I connect my camera, although I really connect with firewire?
Please help, I must have cut the video up tomorrow for a celebration!

Hello,
Sometimes certain interfaces to s.Computer for some reason not like their owner wants. Please go to another Firewire interface. If there is no other, you'll get a (OHCI-compatible) IEEE1394 card and try it with them.
