Hello I am the proud owner of a SonyHCR_DC14E DV Camera.
Wanted to make my new snowboard movie on computer and got me on ebay a firewire pci card and ordered a cable all come everything is new. Firewire card fitted hats recognized and is synonymous in the hardware manager. When I plug in my camera via i.link then nothing happens. No program detects something, pinnacle studio says it tries to establish Vebindung to DV device is a mistake. Please help me, the film has to be done! (WinXP, ServicePck2)

To my current knowledge there is no solution for how to get Firewire on WinXP/SP2 reproducible and running when the operating system excludes IEEE 1394 devices. The installation of an earlier version of WinXP (SP1) can not help since SP2.
