Hello,
Your PC is sufficient for video editing. Look
FireWire FAQ">connecting times in the article
FireWire FAQ">s.PC camcorder and capture images of what you can do to bring the analog Hi8 recordings on the calculator too.
As a simple editing program in Windows XP you can use the Movie Maker. The default is with it. A large hard drive for storing video data (1 hour DV AVI takes around 13 GB) should be present or be retrofitted. Similarly, a Firewire interface is mandatory.

Hello!
Then you should get a camera with an analog input (output anyway) always have to buy as well as DV In / Out. The DV - In need you, so you can play your movies again back to the camcorder.
Then you can submit your old camera with the analog input to connect the "new" and plug in the FireWire s.deinem PC.
What in your post but I was not quite clear ... How do you please come to 523 MB of RAM? Do you have broken up a few Rambausteine?;-D

Hey thanks for your answer ;-)
So when I go under System Preferences System stands 523.760 n.ram.
do you think I should order him to expand Viedeobearbeitung?
If so on how much ... ?
I'd have another operating system in order to ask, I have win 2000 on it and I would be interested in which system (running XP? better) for viedeobearbeitung on my computer would :-)
I thank you already times in advance

I thank you already times in advance Hello,
weird .. hmm .. I know with me, Windows does not like this .... but normally you should have 512 MB ...
I recommend you to upgrade your PC as well. I have 3.5 GB of RAM in there with me and that's enough so far not quite.
(If, of course, synonymous with the scope of your work. I often needed several Programs to each other.)
Which operating thou shalt take, I can not tell you because I am not in possession of this "fine" system ;-)

So when I go under System Preferences System stands 523.760 n.ram. This was just a translation error in the binary number system. The conversion of kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB) looks like this:
523,760 n.dividiert by 1,024 KB / MB is 512 MB

've Already thought of a new form of RAM devices on the market is ..:)

Hello
to Mr. Bruno
what is a data throughput (everest home)?
is it important?
thanks
Antwort von Markus:
To speed: The question is whether your PC is fast enough to 25 Mbps s.Daten process, including reading and writing to the hard drive. Such capacity is needed to incorporate digital video in full PAL quality than DV-AVI, edit and play them back later.
A PC with AMD Athlon XP 1900 + and 512 MB of RAM, but not 386 times greater and so the question is actually already answered: I think the PC is even create multiple data-throughput.
Everest Home: "EVEREST Home Edition is a system diagnostics, system info and benchmark tool for analyzing the hardware and software components of their computer. EVEREST provides detailed information about motherboard & CPU, operating system, connected devices, drivers, etc."
