like with my ALL-IN-WONDER capture analog TV to create me a small DVD collection for my stand alone player. Now I can under video options, I-frames B-frames, GOP, Interlaced, Deinterlaced, set Progressive) (screenshot. Now need no lengthy explanations, would pass me if I would jemad say what I shall cease to receive the best possible quality. Can someone help me?

PAL DVDs on a typical GOP is 12 frames long and consists of three groups. The above setting is okay. Video is usually interlaced.

If you increase the number of I-frames, you'd have to simultaneously increase the data rate of synonymous to get the
same picture quality.
Reason: The data rate is divided onto I-, B-and P-frames to occur, while at the I-frames most of the data (see explanation in the above link). If the data rate at an elevated I-frame number, however, equal, will reduce the relative amount of data that has pro (I-) frame available, which increases the risk of artifacts.
But what is the whole theory? Why do not you try it out just which setting better or worse outcome bring? If you want to burn the MPEG2 video files to DVD later synonymous, synonymous test further in order to experience any unpleasant surprises later.

thanks again. Had before the variable data rate 4000-6000 kb / s to set. Further, I would have Premiere Elements, but I will not use. Get with advertising Nero7 burn and cut all the wars ...
