The thread is old (!) And completely unclear what it is. Therefore only briefly:

... what advantage do you mean? It is advertised as an advantage, of a DV camcorder without a PC directly into MPEG4 "Digitizer" them. First, the images already in digital DV and secondly it is easier to DV recording directly to PC to transfer, as a detour on the MPEG-4 Compression to go. And as always synonymous original recordings of some kind of a post should be experienced, the detour via a höherkomprimiertes format does not make sense.
