hello together,
I sit for the first time s.mac with Final Cut Pro. I let my hdv footage (1080/50i the receiver via sony HC7/HC9) directly over the logging.
mov files it created. the picture on the analog monitor output is good during capture on the mac-monitor it is not bad but worse.
is compressed in the mov format? there are better alternative for quality? somewhere you can make fine adjustments? Gibts synonymous to rat?
I was so far s.avi usual.

mov avi are just like container. It is one of the codec, which hides in the inside. There's synonymous with mov dozens, and which are good in each case is explained in the Final Cut Pro Manual outstanding.
