Frage von xxxemoonexxx:Hello.
I hope I did this the correct forum for my question gefinden me a long time "torturing":
I want movies for streaming in Flash in mp.4 with h.264 encode. Say I take DVD's and encode them. I have tried several softwares. The I have tested (Sorenson Squeeze, Xilisoft Video Converter, Jesterware DVD Ripper) can change the format all synonymous.
BUT: The films that I've coded show G-Spot in the following (see screenshot). There is a codec even though I always avc1 clearly predict h.264 chose!
My question: Is this the same?
I appreciate all the help! Danke schon mal!
Antwort von WoWu:
.... guess .... it is Microsoft VC-1.
This is not proprietary but the H.264 VC-1 codec of Microsoft.
He is from an early draft of the H.264 Development.
H.264, however, is next and has been developed other, more far-reaching possibilities and tools.
The formats are not compatible.
Antwort von Gast 0815:
H264benutzt as FOURCCs (codec ID): AVC1, DAVC, H264, x264, VSSH (details: http://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php?title=H.264 and http://www.fourcc.org/).
Otherwise, please remember that Gspot S.22 last updated Feb. 2007 was therefore in doubt, always synonymous with MediaInfo (http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/de) check, it's much more recent

@ WoWu: Have rausgefunden it daselbe is ... avc1 is not VC-1. But thanks!
@ Guest 0815: Thank you! MediaInfo does not knew before. But it looks like the files are h.264. Someone wrote me:
yes, this is the same. mp4 is just a container format, as can ne lot of different things inside his (various visual / audio / text formats). H.264 is the same as MPEG-4/AVC (Advanced Video Coding). are only different designations of various institutions (ITU or ISO / IEC). So all is well. Media Info says (see screenshot)
