Before editing the files to demux, then again muxen, otherwise there's sound / image displacement. Review in the documentation and you'll find references to the required additional programs.

Otherwise, I can recommend Videoredo can directly cut mpg without demux / muxen, but is not freeware. mfg Section Head

I recommend Cuttermaran. A super program, I personally use it to DVB-C digital photography to cut (out of advertising, etc.). Works wonderfully. And the best: this tool is freeware.
