Hello all together.
I have decided to give me a camcorder zuzulegen, and have of course informed me beforehand. I am now on the SonyDCR-DVD106E. Crucial to me is the DVD feature, the 40x optical zoom and times of the relatively low price. Can me a bit to say about the camcorders? Would it be a mistake to buy this? Until now I have found no better (in this price category).

if you had informed extensively (especially in this forum) would have you noticed that dvd are not necessarily the best choice.
While synonymous to s.was du so machst. The quality is definitely much better with MiniDV
comparative: 1 hour DVD (Mpeg2) = 2GB, 1 hour DV (DV-Avi) = 13GB

I hope you understand the disadvantages of DVD camcorder (recording duration in the best quality & editing problems, finalizing, VR or video mode at - RW etc)

Yes, the Mini is better, I have already noticed, but I've Cams DVD of videos and seen bad, I found they do not. I feel that just as very practical. Thanks for the quick response

At least for Canon, Panasonic and Sony Can we as a normal consumer to be no big Bildqualiätsunterschiede MiniDV establish because one has to be fair to DVD & HDD camcorders his.

But why does everything in the world, there must be a 40-fold zoom be? This is in practice usually the same as unusable simply unnecessary. Apart from this, the greater the zoom range, the worse the Lenses.

The camcorders are designed for handling lazy customers who use a maximum at - RW in VR mode in the Camera a few cut scenes ....
The advertising is so great, simply insert .... Companies often forget to say when - R / - RW very often needs to be finalized, which will take just over 9 min .....

So I was just at a dealer and got the camera in Live viewing times and must say ... I found the toll. I did not bring small DVD and the seller gave me a small video rotated. Have even gone out, so that IHC can see how times with the strong sun. I will still own a few minutes of film and may now have the little DVD at home. The quality is with 9 MBit really good. Even with strong sun (synonymous with change in shade), the Cam super clear. The zoom is the hammer and synonymous with high magnification of Bildtabilisator works pretty well. I guess I will me the camcorder up, because he really convinced me today has.

What you want with the Zoom, I am still not entirely clear. Mir is already in daily use of 10-fold zoom my GS180 too much.

HDD cameras are synonymous with MPEG 2 and MPEG 1 Picture on sound - just like the DVD camcorder.
