Hello,
if I have a avi clip (DivX5/-6, ..) soon, so
front and rear by Ctrl-x to delete something (eg with VirtualDub)
and then compress video. DivX to imagine and re -
save as avi, lasts forever long.
For mp3 audio files, such as a program, mp3DirectCut,
with the fast back and forward which can be cut away without
that the file size is recalculated.
Is it synonymous avi files for such a quick way?
Or I have to Eintellmöglichkeiten something overlooked?

Remember though, that there is no frame-accurate cutting is possible because
with DIRECT STREAM COPY only at keyframes can be cut. Some
DivX files are miserable with long keyframefreien sections.

the old keyframedistance (GSpot)
87.5 avg / 200 max
keyframedistance of the new (57%) shortened clips
175.0 avg / 200 max
otherwise, all values - down to the size - almost
remained the same.
whole frame does not exactly cut.

Without a (smart) DivX rendering frame never exactly be cut
except if it's just from keyframes would exist. I thought the
you do not have extra mention.

Well, 90min. need up to a CD, no such preference;)

The best way is IMHO, the "Full processing mode" to choose and the same
Compression to choose the video already has. If one then in the video --
Menu "smart rendering" enabled, only the "incomplete" Keyframe
Encoded new sections, the rest will simply be copied. Thus,
frame accurate cutting, without that everything will be re-encoded.
