With 3600 dpi then quoted I at a height of 4.22 mm, however, at 598 scan lines, and not to the specified 1220th But hopefully this will not be due to the calculator that I bought at Aldi. ;-)

Whether someone 140 pixels / mm = 1120 times 8mm reckoned with? With TI-85 brands are expected after ;-)
If I use my old double-Eight and Super Eight Watching movies is Super Eight at approximately normal video quality available, with some Scenes come to me the colors a bit better than that of Video8 before.
Conclusion: Only those images with 24 seconds with the best equipment S8 duties, should HD say a slight improvement.
Since my camera Eumig C6 and Mini 5 only lower middle class were enough for my normal digital video.

Bingo. :-)
Moreover, it is of course a difference whether an ordinary Farbumkehrfilm of abgescannt sooner or if a new high-resolution Professional film. The examples on the Wikipedia amount linked CineToVid page are available in standard resolution (720x576) and show the Granularity of the film are much (just a bissel vermatscht by MPEG compression). As a counter-example here is a scan in HDTV Resolution (1920x1080) of a material to the mark "Pro8mm", the then it is probably about what is feasible: http://homepage.mac.com/onsuper8/assets/1080super8framebird75.jpg
