Forget the calculator forget, forget CDs and S-VCD.
Since you're not a technology freak (or want to be?) Buy yourself a DVD recorder that does take place 'ner S-VCD the same in real time' ne draus DVD and you have no (or quote at least significantly less) problem with the art.

Hello,
Stefan's Tip I find absolutely true. A standalone DVD recorder is the easiest way to DVD video with high quality and without much prior knowledge to burn.

S-VCD burn ... not.
Nero does everything for 2 h to convert the video into a suitable S-VCD video. 2 h the way, is not such a bad Encodingzeit for a S-VCD. You already have a reasonably quick calculator, right?
If the result is then still too big for a CD (CDs oversized You've tried?), Would only help shorten the original video.
Or you change of the S-VCD format to another video format.
As nächstschlechteres video format you can take VCD. You can take next better format than DVD. I would go in the direction of DVD ... Burners and blanks are not sooo expensive.
