The Resolution720x576 px is standard - DV resolution, more is not there!
The three megapixel consist 3x1Megapixel, since it is a Dreichipcamera. For DV you need 702x576 = 414,720 pixels. Everything else is either an electronic image stabilization, built-in function, the photo or 16:9 for the variant, if the camera (which I know not synonymous), a 16:9 mode supports half-real, in which the wide-angle picture becomes clear. Even if you set 16:9, it still remains only 720x576px. However, the picture is horizontally stretched. That means you have to default - a rectangular pixel DV with an edge ratio of 16:9 at 1.067 and one with edge ratio 1.422.
On the TRV950, you should be able to set a 16:9 mode. Look halt if the picture is wide-angle (which I do not think), or whether it is with black bars top and bottom is cropped.
