after long discussions in other topics I want to own the open question of how to live streaming HD material through the network.
The starting point: we have a club and put on our stage quite a lot of really great bands, which, of course, all want to see the world. Unfortunately, the only club for 150 people, so we look at the concerts to stream live online.
Our equipment is currently output to 4 cams FullHD with HDMI, which are then well mixed to a video mixer and then either via HDMI or via HD-SDI s.den go on computer.
audio is taken directly from the mixing console - should probably be added to atmo ...
what we need?

If you use Active Webcam and with a Black Magic dranhängen You Mjpeg 720p50 at about 500Mb per minute, which would then be about 8MB per second, so you need a 10 000 line upstream.
Weie mentioned Telekom offers 6MB and KabelBW 2.5 MB
So that's not enough.
DerAdobe Live Encoder in Flash and you kompriemiert the raußkommt which is as good as other webcams.
What we need is an investment and management of ARD
As for me I save my money and live of the interest -;)

we could about our neighbors on a network access, which has 7mbits upload. (But we will still have to drill out our wireless bridge)
apropos wlan: who has already streamed to HD material via wireless (more) monitors?
