There are always better, but the XM2 is a pretty good camera! It is holding as synonymous with each other, that the cameraman is so familiar. As you well so far with no video or XM2 employed, you would be safe to start reading the manual recommended. The seller has sent you but hopefully included?

In any case, with tape! Why? The XM2 has no other way ;-)

No problem: To capture your video recordings do you need them anyway not, and if you have a webcam XM2 or even use a camera, then you will find the appropriate software to download on the Canon website.

Again someone with the habit of sentences with a double point to an end. So either we have encountered in other forums or make yet more people. ;-)
I would be new, that man with the XM2 on a memory stick in the same video quality can store (you can even save videos there, or only photos?) As MiniDV tape. The latter is the recording media of your choice, not only because of the recording time in the best quality.

The good news: your camcorder records to MiniDV and has a Firewire interface (DV). This enables him, with any video editing software and you must cooperate with the purchase of nothing special ensured. Actually, only that the program brings the functionality that you need or have or want / need.
Edit: Bernd stipulates Markus writes from. ;-)
