Sure, you can do the 4 signals transmitted s.die Camera. However, just as 2 separate tracks, which means you have the 3 lines to a radio mix, and the atmosphere directly to the camera through.
Or you an camera with 4 audio - footsteps, then you can have all 4 microphones separated record.
But as I said, without the SQN is then all but a heath fun ...
I think the time code is the most practical solution because you have really no connection between the camera and audio need. And with good equipment synonymous 4 separate tracks can absorb.
