Hi David (or Peter, or as always synonymous)
If you have a menu with a video in the background you will not be possible. The only possibility of a button when selecting an action, such as a timeline with a transition into another menu triggers. Is the menu breaks the animated picture, but in the middle of the river s.and changes to the timeline.
Unfortunately, something else in the DVD standard does not provide for. Interactivity for DVDs is always limited.
