With one Hi8 recorder I have transferred to test some Hi8 tapes on a Panasonic recorder DMR-EH55. When I burn the videos onto a DVD-R, yes, I get Usein vob file. Can I copy to cut to a PC, rename to *. mpg, etc. But I Burn to DVD-RAM, I get a vco file.
1) How can use this file, if at all?
2) If I could take synonymous with the above Hi8 recorder tapes with a sawn timber and further process? Have the PC has an S-Video connection.
3) Let's Have Edit2 as a demo. I can uploading from camcorder NV-GS280, neither via USB nor Firewire video. If the demo maybe closed to traffic, such as help? What to do?
Thanks for tips, Toni

Oops, In my yesterday's question is a mistake slipped. The file extension must be called: VRO not VCO - apologies.
Sawn timber: After further research I have found that Firewire does not run on XP Sp2 (which for all demo-editing programs at my case). Is it possible to let such a general? Try timidly around with: Adobe Premiere Elements 2 Let 'Edit 2 Magix Video Deluxe 2006 Pinnacle Studio 9 (out of an old computer image-CD) Ulead VideoStudio 10 So I can of course still not working correctly, but is useful to know. The problems are probably not apparent in the finer points - unfortunately.
Then I have since read in yet another forum, that you should only edit the *. avi, *. mpg therefore not to study problems from the road. What can happen there?
The many information almost killed me. Will, however, piece by piece to understand and remain s.Ball. Thanks for your patience - toni.

Well, synonymous with all questions I can not say anything, but for now times as much:
1) You delete the file "einlesbar making" by you, they are converting .. http://www.dvdboard.de/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62634&highlight=tutorial, http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html 2) for converters to tell someone else what better time. 3) Please only capturing via firewire! Read: http://forum.slashcam.de/viewtopic.php?p=103530, if it is struggling s.SP2 you through the MS Knowledgebase: http://support.microsoft.com/search/default.aspx ? catalog = LCID% 3D1033 & spid = & query = firewire + Service + Pack +2 & adv = By the way, in my SP2/Firewire works flawlessly since its publication.

Good day
to the point sawn timber - Firewire does not work:
In XP / Device Manager to specify the IEEE missing interface.
Solution: Firewire card pulled out and re-plugged, and the rest of it went alone, after the activation then everything went perfectly. However, I found that the contacts are quite sensitive, because the first attempt went pötzlich no longer work after the computer was shut again, and from the horizontal, was back on his feet.
The Tip (Link of St. Mark's) that the files and Avc.sys msdv.sys must be included in Windows/system32/drivers dissolves of itself After the Firewire was properly installed and running, I renamed the two files, and after a restart they were back. I wanted to know exactly and it was then deleted. After the restart they were back again - you need to worry about these two files.
