in deep despair again the often unanswered question:
XP FIREWIRE NOT RECOGNIZE MY XM2: (((
I have trouble working with it for several months, had to put new Trojan attack the system, and since no sugar. I work with a Siemens Amilo 1640 and an ASUS Z9200KM. (On both systems with integrated SP2've tried it, however, synonymous with great-SP1 and XP's, with no success).
My Mac, a 1 Gig Quicksilver recognizes the camera perfectly, about Final Cut can capture with no Probs.
As soon as I connect the device s.The PCs (both) DV IN does not stand still but equally flashes on and off, same with audio mode in VCR setup. Every third restart gibts a promising Bing, but not recognize the camera, not in Premiere or Movie Maker let alone in the system will appear. Before the new system, this was no problem to accommodate and tuck. At a friend's laptop, the camera is immediately recognized: ((
I have the solutions listed in the other threats, such as Firewire patch, new cable, all without success msdv.inf completed and am now quite confused. As with the matter, I am still quite unfamiliar, I suspect in the camera what they have incorrectly set too (s.funktioniert but everything is working properly)
Would be very grateful for new suggestions and ideas, it eillt and I can not continue working :((((

As a supplement:
The firewire port of the PCs easily recognize my burner and my hard drive, but not the XM2
The Mac knows everything anyway - especially the Camera
So, there must be some software miesenmiesen Prob in XP, which I just do not think
