Anyone who is a fan of William Gibson&s cult cyberpunk novel "Neuromancer" will be eagerly awaiting the announced 10-part film adaptation on Apple TV+. Published in 1984, the novel has repeatedly been characterized as "unfilmable". With Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, Apple has brought competent partners on board and thus - in our eyes - created the perfect conditions for a successful film adaptation. In fact, Apple TV+ has already shown a good hand at filming complex science fiction material in the past - for example with the Foundation novels by Isaac Asimov, which were also considered unfilmable for a long time (a clear recommendation from us if you&re a sci-fi fan and haven&t seen "Foundation" yet) - here&s the official trailer: Graham Roland (Tom Clancy&s Jack Ryan, Dark Winds) and JD Dillard (Devotion, The Outsider) have been hired to develop the project for a streaming format. Graham Roland will also act as showrunner and JD Dillard will direct the pilot. No dates have yet been communicated. Speaking of unfilmable: Which "unfilmable" novels would you like to see as a movie or series? Of course, when we think of "cyberpunk", "Snowcrash" by Neil Stephenson immediately comes to mind and, since we&re on the subject, his great novel "Seveneves". As far as we know, HBO recently took an interest in "Snowcrash". more infos at bei www.apple.com deutsche Version dieser Seite: „Unverfilmbarer“ Cyberpunk Roman „Neuromancer“ von W.
