Initially launched on Kickstarter, the 4x cine zoom for a Super35 image circle is now also available from 7Artisans; it is the first from the Chinese manufacturer. The Sprite 24-96mm T2.9 works parfocally - the focal plane does not change when zooming - and offers a continuous speed of T2.9 over the entire focal length range. Focus breathing is said to be very low.

The optical construction comprises 21 elements in 16 groups, the minimum focusing distance is 1 meter. The weight is approx. 2.3 kg, the dimensions 94mm (diameter) x 225mm - these specifications apply to the EF version. The lens is also available for the PL mount.
The three lens rings are equipped with 0.8 toothed rings, the aperture and focus rings are infinitely variable. Operation is manual. The focus travel is 240°, the aperture is 90°. Speaking of the aperture, it is made up of 13 blades.
The Cinezoom is available immediately, it seems, at a price of approx. 2,209 euros.
