AJA presents new IP and 12G-SDI solutions ahead of NAB 2025

AJA has unveiled a range of new products and software updates in anticipation of NAB 2025 in Las Vegas, which starts in a few days, and will be showcased at the show. Highlights of the announcements include the new Mini-Converter DANTE-12GAM, the IP workflow bridge BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8, and the completely redesigned 12G-SDI routing solution KUMO 6464-12G.

AJA DANTE-12GAM

The new 12G-SDI Dante Audio Embedder/Disembedder Mini-Converter packs the core functionality of the AJA openGear OG-DANTE-12GAM card into a next-gen enclosure, including an LCD display with control buttons. It simplifies hybrid IP workflows and enables seamless connectivity between SDI sources and destinations with embedded audio to/from the Dante audio ecosystem, with added support for AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110-30. The DANTE-12GAM can extract 16 audio channels and embed 16 audio channels – for up to 32 channels of IP audio – with the option to expand this capacity to 64 channels via fiber or BNC with the DANTE-12GAM-TR-LC and DANTE-12GAM-TR-BNC. The DANTE-12GAM will be available soon for ,295 US.

AJA BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8

With eight bi-directional 3G-SDI connections in a 1RU form factor, BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 doubles the 3G-SDI I/O functionality of AJA&s BRIDGE LIVE, providing functions for encoding, decoding, and transcoding for critical live video environments. The new system for REMI, synchronous multi-channel video transmission, remote collaboration, live streaming, and multi-bitrate/multi-format output comes with an expanded HD channel count over SDI. Support for industry-standard codecs and formats includes H.264, H.265, NDI, SRT, and HLS. AJA BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 will be available soon for ,999 US.

AJA KUMO 6464-12G

The new KUMO 6464-12G-SDI router offers 64 12G-SDI inputs and 64 12G-SDI outputs for high-bandwidth, cost-effective signal distribution. It has been redesigned and brings increased capacity for larger configurations while maintaining a compact 4RU height and sleek profile. It supports 12G-SDI/6G-SDI/3G-SDI/1.5G-SDI/270Mb and DVB-ASI. The KUMO 6464-12G offers scalability, workflow security, and increased bandwidth over 12G-SDI to support a wide spectrum of routing needs in broadcast, production, post-production, and ProAV environments. The KUMO 6464-12G is available now for ,999 US.

Software Updates

In addition to the new hardware, AJA has also released software/firmware updates. The KUMO v4.9 firmware update brings support for the KUMO 6464-12G as well as improvements for the entire KUMO range, such as automatic cable length equalization and reclocking for optimized performance. The new eMini-Setup software v2.4 for macOS and v2.4.1 for Windows simplifies network configuration and firmware upgrades for all KUMO devices, as well as for AJA HELO Plus, ColorBox, and Mini-Converters.
