Until now, the Prime DNA lens series developed by ARRI together with IB/E Optics had been developed exclusively for the huge billdkreis of the Alexa 65. Remember: Open Gate for the Alexa 65 in mm means: 54.12 x 25.58 - the corresponding image circle is 59.86. See also the corresponding comparison values: ;)
From the end of Q1 2019 ARRI Rental will also offer the DNA series for the Large Format Sensor of the ARRI Alexa LF. Open Gate for the ALEXA LF is 36.7 x 25.54 mm and thus slightly above full format. ;) The DNA primes, now specially designed for the Alexa LF image circle, will be available in 9 focal lengths from 21 mm to 135 mm via ARRI Rental. &PIC3§ Prototypes of the new DNA-LF lens series have already been used on the ALEXA LF cameras during the shooting of the second season of "Killing Eve", the HBO/Sky production "Catherine the Great" and the feature film "Ironbark" by and with Benedict Cumberbatch.
